New Apartment Building With Over 250 Units Opens In Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA, WI — Developers on Tuesday announced the grand opening of a new luxury apartment building with 258 units on Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa.

Located at 2929 North Mayfair Road, the new building is located just down the street from the range of shopping and dining at The Mayfair Collection. M&R Development co-developed the building alongside Campbell Capital Group with management coming from RMK Management, according to a news release.

“Ever since the pandemic, we have continued to see an increased demand for new, high-end apartments in the Milwaukee area with luxury amenities and spaces that allow for multiple options for remote work,” said Anthony Rossi Sr., managing partner of Itasca, Ill.-based M&R Development, in a news release. “2929 on Mayfair offers modern co-working spaces, such as booths, lounge areas and private conference rooms and even creative features in apartments like the ‘cloffice’, which is a combination office and closet. Combine these amenities with the commercial and retail options at The Mayfair Collection, and we’re confident the building will be a key component of continued growth for the area.”

The new apartment building features studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging in size from about 450- to 1,282 square feet, developers said. Prices range from $1,250 up to $2,610.

Each unit includes kitchens with white quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, two-tone cabinetry, a French door refrigerator, and stainless steel appliances, according to the news release. Residents will also get smart thermostats, 9-foot ceilings, a full-size washer and dryer, plus balconies and patios.

At the center of the new apartment community is a courtyard and outdoor pool that features cabanas and a sun shelf. Outdoor amenities include grilling stations, lounge seating, fire puts and more. The building also features a coffee bar, lounge, club room, fitness center, pet washing station with grooming table and dryer, plus a three-level parking garage.

“In addition to the surge in interest we’ve seen from residents for at-home workspaces, we’ve also seen greater demand for on-site community features that create a live, work and play environment,” said Rossi in the news release. “We made the clubhouse a focal point for this development and know residents will find most everything they need for their personal and professional lives within the community.”

The five-story apartment building has two different models for tour, developers said. It is the third apartment building from M&R Development in Wisconsin since 2020.

Developers touted the proximity of the new building to Interstate 94, Wauwatosa West High School and nearby parks.
